A few small jobs before winter can save bigger repairs later, especially with the amount of rain South Wales gets.
Inside
- Check bath and shower sealant — replace any that's black, split or peeling.
- Bleed radiators and look for drips around valves.
- Ease sticking doors and fit draught excluders.
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Outside
- Clear leaves from gutters and drains (only if you can do it safely).
- Look for loose or cracked tiles around windows and back doors.
- Check fences and gates before the winter winds.
